What it costs to launch a heating company's marketing

Websites start at $3,500 one-time and monthly marketing plans start at $2,998, in Canadian dollars plus GST/HST based on your province (GST and QST in Quebec). Most new heating companies start with a website and add a plan once they're ready for more calls.

Here's the short version: a launch website starts at $3,500 one-time, and ongoing marketing plans start at $2,998 a month. All prices are in Canadian dollars. The tax you add depends on your province: 5% GST in BC, the Prairies and the territories, 13% HST in Ontario, 14% in Nova Scotia, 15% in the other Atlantic provinces, and 5% GST plus 9.975% QST in Quebec. You can begin with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card, and there's no lock-in. These are the same published plans offered by HVAC.Agency; the full details are on the HVAC.Agency pricing page.

For a brand-new heating company, the more useful question is which of these you need now and which can wait. That's what the rest of this page is about.

Websites (one-time)

Package One-time price Pages and build time Monthly care afterwards
Essential $3,500 5 to 7 custom pages, ready in about 2 to 3 weeks $149 for hosting and upkeep
Professional $6,500 10 to 15 pages designed to convert, about 3 to 4 weeks $249, which adds conversion improvements
Enterprise $12,500 No page or location limit, about 4 to 6 weeks $449 for full management

Most new heating companies need Essential. It covers a home page, your main services, your service area, an about page and a contact page, which is exactly what the launch website service describes. Professional makes sense if you're launching with several distinct services or towns from day one. Enterprise is for multi-location companies, which is rarely where anyone starts.

Monthly marketing plans

Starter, $2,998 a month. The foundation: a website with SEO-ready service pages, your Google Business Profile and local search work, a basic setup of Google and Meta ads, plus hosting, maintenance and a report each month.

Growth, $4,498 a month. Starter's contents, then deeper SEO and content, paid ads across several channels, retargeting, a CRM connection, review generation and reports every week.

Elite, $8,998 a month. Growth's contents, then video, PR outreach, your own account manager, a live dashboard, a strategy call each month and reporting built around you.

For a new company, Starter covers the local launch and the beginnings of the first-year lead plan. Growth fits a company that already has steady work and wants to add more channels. Elite is built for established, multi-truck companies.

Ad spend paid to Google or Meta is always separate from these fees.

What drives the cost for a new heating company

Three things matter more than anything else:

  1. How many services and towns you launch with. Each needs its own honest page and its own targeting. Starting narrow keeps costs down.
  2. How competitive your city is. Paid search in a large Ontario or BC metro costs far more per call than in a smaller regional centre. See your provincial page for context.
  3. How much you do yourself. Owners who handle name checks, registration, photos and review requests themselves need less from us.

A worked first-year example

Here's one way a new owner might budget, using the published prices:

  • Month 1: Essential website, $3,500 one-time ($3,675 with 5% GST in BC or Alberta).
  • Months 1–12: hosting and maintenance at $149 a month, so $1,788 for the year before tax.
  • From month 4: Starter plan at $2,998 a month, once licensed and taking work, plus a separate ad budget you set.

That staged approach means the larger monthly cost only begins once you can actually take on the work it produces. Your own timing will differ; the first-year marketing budget guide has a full cash-flow table to adapt.

How to choose

  • Still planning, not yet licensed: read the free guides, do your name checks, and consider an Essential website timed to your opening date.
  • Licensed and starting out: Essential website plus Starter.
  • Already working, calls are thin: start with the free trial so we can show you where the gaps are.

If you're unsure, call, text or email and describe where you are. We'll recommend the smallest package that makes sense, even if that's nothing yet.

Frequently asked questions

What's the cheapest sensible way to start?

For many new owners, an Essential website at $3,500 one-time plus $149 a month for hosting and maintenance, while they handle name checks, registration and early reviews themselves. A monthly plan can follow when you have capacity for more work.

Do prices include sales tax?

No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, before GST/HST. For example, an Essential website at $3,500 comes to $3,675 with 5% GST in BC or Alberta, or $3,955 with 13% HST in Ontario.

Is ad spend included in a monthly plan?

No. What you pay Google or Meta for ads is separate from the plan fee, and the ad accounts stay in your business's name so you can see every dollar.

What does the free trial include?

Seven days in which we audit your marketing, check how your website performs, look at your search visibility and compare you with local competitors. You won't be asked for a credit card.

Is there a contract?

There's no lock-in. If a plan stops making sense for your company, you can stop.
